Quote from Asphalt Scream :NKPro is rumored to be very difficult and realistic, what do tose changes suppose? I wa reading this thread and start thinking aout buy a licence but, will downgraded physics make it looks like some sort of NFS Shift?
If this will be the cas then I will not buy it

There's been no indication that he'll downgrade the physics in netKar.

... and it's not very difficult It's no more difficult than iRacing or a good rFactor mod. (in fact it's easier than most rFactor mods becuase you can actually feel what the car is doing in netKar )

Well...where did this come from then? very odd indeed.

Downloading now... strange it isn't on Driving Italia or the official netKar site... The plot thickens...

Ahh, this ties in with both of you actually...

Personally I wouldn't bother with 3/3 unless you have a license. The Formula Fords have a tire issue. I belive thats part of the reason it's taken so long for Kunos to get to 1.1 final....tire problems.

That could well be part of your problem DD if your only running the demo cars.

Cant think what would cause that Kevin. I've heard of others that had it too... I'll have a dig around for you, see if i can find the answer.

I'm sticking with 2/3 until the final. It just works.

No idea fella. It's no more difficult to drive than iRacing.

Quote from DevilDare :Wow... So I tried this sim again and.... What the hell is up with it? Turn into a corner and watch yourself spin... No throttle nothing.... Just a bit of wheel turn and good bye to you...

Bloody amateur's....

Great call by Webber with the inters.

At least he wont be able to punt anyone off from the front of the grid

How all these highly paid, supposedly clever people, didn't put their cars out straight away for a banker lap is beyond me.

Amateur night. Idiots.

Quote from Bob Smith :I see they've lost all the old forum posts, but with 80,000 members already I'm assuming they must have kept old accounts? Only I can't log in with my old details.

Nope, simraceway just used the rFactor central user database. You can log into RSC with your rFactorCentral details.

It's a waste of time anyway. It's RSC in name only. With the loss of the old data RSC will never be the same again. I don't want to have anything to do with anything simraceway have their grubby little hands on anyway.

Quote from danowat :Driving games don't HAVE to be super realistic to be fun you know, not matter what the "sim nazi's" would have you believe.

Sim Nazi's is a little strong.... I prefer sim snobs personally

Now, there's nothing wrong with us sim snobs finding arcade physics completely unsatisfying, therefore absolutely no fun whatsoever.

It's like driving a Ferarri then having to go back to a Metro. It's never going to be satisfying, so you'd rather not bother.

Yeah, I've heard of a few people that had that problem. No idea what that's all about, I've not really touched beta 3 as the leagues I race in still use Beta 2.

Quote from Joris :There is one thing I could not find about the Iracing license: When a license expires and is revived after a few months. Will all purchased additions (cars & tracks) be reinstated?

It would be logical to be like that but I could not find any confirmation.

Yes

Quote from Senninha25 :I have a long lost ABBA tune I can't get out of my head...hadn't listened to it since 2000; can't really put my finger on the lyrics, but I think the chorus rythm (is that right?) is na-na-na na-nah-nah, na-na-na na-nah-nah, na na na na nah...sorry for the lack of info, but If I had caught the lyrics the last time I heard them, I could be more specific.

If I'm right you can thank my mum who never seemed to have ABBA off the bloody turntable for my entire childhood.

Quote from DevilDare :How do I?

Like a lot of others said, its not the "black" part, but what other words went with it.... He said that he takes four times longer than that "old dude".... I can very clearly see how some people might see that offensive...
.

If Dan had implied that the slowness was something to do with the guys skin colour then I'd agree with you.

Nothing in the OP indicates that's the case.

Quote from DevilDare :Well, I personally also think that saying "a black guy" did it might be a bit over the edge.

Then you need shooting.

Jesus, whats up with you guys. I despise racism. I find it abhorrent. What Dan said wasn't racist in the slightest.

The world's gone mad. I hate this PC bullshit, and I'm a big girls blouse liberal.

The crux of this whole conversation is.. Is it being racist to call or describe a black guy as a black guy? The answer is "Clearly not". End of.

Anyone who thinks it is racist needs shooting.

Quote from Ball Bearing Turbo :
One thing I didn't think to check, (since I was disgusted with their speed I only watched it once), was their inputs - I only use right foot braking and I'm wondering if they're using a lot of both pedals at the same time.

I'd put money on 95% of the top guys using both pedals. LFB with a bit of throttle still on is the only way to get that extra speed imo.

The main advantage (for me) of using both pedals at the same time is the extra stability on corner entry, which in turn leads to much faster exits.

I use this technique in every sim I've ever driven. Though i have no trouble switching to RFB in real life my brain just wont let me do it in sims anymore (not that I'd want to )
